Shopping Online vs. Shopping In Line
'Tis the season! This is the happiest time of year, and also, the busiest time of the year. I still don't understand how that could be; but I digress.
Getting presents for your loved ones during the holiday season is always an issue, unless you're my Dad, who gets them all on Christmas Eve. There never seems to be enough time and the malls are packed like sardines. As my esteemed colleague Valeria stated earlier this week, shopping online is the best place to go and there is no better site than BiddingForGood. I'm not biased. You are shopping for worthy causes across the country and also getting your Christmas shopping done at the same time.
The advantages for both fundraisers and shoppers of shopping online is much greater than waiting in line at department stores nationwide or waiting "on line" as New Yorkers say. Here is my take on shopping online for both fundraisers and shoppers.
I'll start with shoppers. BiddingForGood offers a wide array of items, from Patriot's tickets to a Paula Abdul signed dog bowl. We have it all. One thing I struggle with every holiday season is what to get certain people. My mom is picky and nearly impossible to shop for. I browse our auctions and see what people are offering. With the diversity of items, you are bound to find a least a couple things that will make your own mom very happy. Online shopping at BiddingForGood is also quick and easy. Instead of fighting the lines and fighting the zoo that is the mall, you can make two or three clicks, and your Christmas shopping is done! Holiday shopping online is a no-brainer.
As for fundraisers, what better way to get people to browse your auction? Holidays are an extremely successful time to run an auction because presents are a must! Part of your promotion has to be what was discussed above. Your online auction is the perfect shopping place for these shoppers. You have that item that saves these shoppers so much time and frustration that they face during this hectic time. This is also the season of giving, so why not promote that as well! People will be willing to shop even more during this time, so make sure you use the holidays to your advantage.
Happy Holidays everyone and remember, the only way to shop this holiday season is online!
