Get to Know BiddingForGood's Cast of Characters
As of January 2012, I will have been with BiddingForGood for 5 years. My BiddingForGood career is unique in that I have spent time on three different teams – sales, client services, and marketing. All this equates to innumerable hours spent with some of the most amazing people I have been fortunate enough to get to know as colleagues and friends, brainstorming and discussing fundraising innovation.
Some of the best (or at least most memorable) ideas come after work down at the Summer Shack, after a beverage (or maybe two). Get someone like Perry Allison fired up about new ideas and ways to make a difference, and you'll have an appointment set in your outlook calendar to dig in on it a little deeper the next morning.
Recently, BiddingForGood has taken on a new initiative: a full webinar schedule. We have partners, such as Constant Contact and Hubspot that we broadcast with… and in fact, this November we’ll be teaming up with PTO Today. [You can view the complete schedule here.]
However, today, I’m not here to talk about our partners… today I want to talk about some of the people you can come get to know a little bit better when you join us for one of our in-house webinars. And take it from me; this is truly a cast of characters.
The first webinar you might want to check out is called Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about BiddingForGood. (Follow the convo on Twitter at #B4G101.) If you’re not as familiar with what our services entail and you want an overview and a chance to ask questions, this is the webinar for you. We offer this webinar twice monthly and our core team of sales consultants runs the show. Any given presentation, you will hear from at least 2 of these characters:
John McElroy: Leader of the sales team and new father to a beautiful little girl (Eliana, Ellie for short), John baffles us all by doing things like jumping out of airplanes. In fact, I got his permission to share one of his recent air-born adventures with you. Check out the video. Fearless & terrifying (not), John is consistently a top performer for the sales group, and devotes his time to his family (in between skydives).
Jason Geller: One of the more recent sales team acquisitions, Jason brings with him a depth of sales experience and enthusiasm for life that combine into sheer BiddingForGood awesomeness. Quick to laugh, Jason has quickly become a huge asset for this team. Also, you’ll never hear Jason complaining about traffic because his favorite mode of transportation is his bicycle!
Sherry Feinbaum: Sherry wins the “newest sales team member” award today. Thrown into the trenches (or thrown to the wolves) within days of beginning her employment with BiddingForGood, Sherry is rock-solid. Her warmth and past experience truly make her a double-threat. Lovely, pleasant, hard-working Sherry loves to pop out of the office at lunch time for an energizing walk. Sherry says she is happiest outdoors - what an inspiration!
Bryan Farrington: Our charming Senior Sales Manager Bryan left Cambridge MA in the dust to join his lovely fiancée in Austin, TX. There has been some speculation that he has abandoned his razor and wears his PJs all day, but I think we just miss him. A hardcore Boston College Hockey fan, Bryan apprehensively admits that he is also a lover of musicals. Most recent soundtrack in the stereo: Spring Awakening. Bryan, belt it out!
